Bookain is a very fast-growing, hardy deciduous avenue tree highly valued for its elegant lace-like canopy, fragrant spring blooms, and excellent shade provision.

This resilient tree features a straight trunk supporting a wide, rounded crown of delicate, doubly-feathered light green leaves with serrated edges. In early spring, it produces clusters of highly fragrant, star-shaped purple or lilac blossoms that are followed by small decorative yellow berries. It is an exceptional, fast-expanding choice for open lawns, boundary borders, farmhouses, or establishing roadside shade barriers across local climates.
