Gul-e-Khaira is a stately, fast-growing seasonal perennial highly prized for its massive vertical growth and spectacular towers of colorful blossoms.

This classic cottage-garden plant features a strong, unbranched upright stalk lined with broad, textured heart-shaped leaves. As it approaches its blooming season, the upper portion of the stem fills completely with large, show-stopping crinkled flowers that open in a variety of vibrant shades. It is an exceptional choice for adding immediate vertical height to the back of flowerbeds, lining boundary walls and fences, or creating a colorful backdrop on sunny terraces and verandas.

Key Features

  • Stately Vertical Growth: Grows into a tall, striking focal point tree structure that provides an elegant, traditional garden layout.
  • Prolonged Blooming Season: Produces a continuous succession of large, beautiful paper-like flowers along its central stalk.
  • High Temperature Adaptation: Highly resilient and thrives beautifully under open local spring and early summer sunshine conditions.

Care Tips

  • Sunlight: Requires full, direct outdoor sunlight (at least 6 hours daily). Ample unfiltered sun is mandatory to keep the tall stalk rigid, sturdy, and packed with flower buds.
  • Watering: Moderate water needs. Water thoroughly when the top 1 to 2 inches of soil feel dry. Avoid waterlogged or muddy ground setups to protect the base.
  • Soil: Thrives best in rich, fertile, well-draining garden soil enriched heavily with organic compost or vermicompost.

Review Of Our Nursery From A Customer

What Our Customers Say

  • Grows like crazy

I put this golden pothos on a high shelf in my kitchen and within a month it had trailing vines almost reaching the counter. Barely any care needed, just a weekly watering and it keeps pushing out new leaves.

    Ayesha Khan, Lahore

  • Perfect for beginners

This was my very first houseplant and it is basically impossible to kill. Low light, forgetful watering, none of it seems to bother it, and it still looks glossy and healthy.

    Bilal Ahmed, Lahore

  • Survives my forgetfulness

I travel a lot for work and this plant does not care. Two, sometimes three weeks without water and it still looks sharp and upright on my office shelf.

    Usman Malik, Faisalabad

  • Great for the bedroom

Bought this after reading it helps with air quality at night. The stiff sword like leaves with the pale variegation look genuinely striking in a corner pot, and it has needed almost zero attention.

    Mehwish Iqbal, Lahore

  • My favorite succulent

The thick jade green leaves store water so well that I genuinely forget to water it for two weeks at a stretch. It sits on my windowsill and gets compliments from every guest.

    Farah Naz, Lahore

  • Easy going and pretty

This has become my go to gift for friends starting their plant journey. Mine has been on the same windowsill for months and just keeps thickening up nicely.

    Zainab Qureshi, Lahore

  • Blooms nonstop

Got a full Jhari 12 inch tray for the porch and the small bright blooms have not stopped since planting. Handles our Faisalabad summer heat without any drama.

    Imran Baig, Faisalabad

  • Handles the heat well

These sat in full sun on my rooftop through the peak of summer and never wilted once. Great value for how much color they bring to the space.

    Kamran Chaudhry, Faisalabad
