Add a touch of architectural mystery to your space with the unique Nag Dana Plant.

Highly prized across Pakistan, the Nag Dana (globally known as the Devil's Backbone or Zig-Zag Plant) is an exceptional ornamental succulent shrub. It features thick, fleshy green stems that grow in a fascinating, sharp zig-zag pattern. This premium variegated variety boasts beautiful, boat-shaped leaves elegantly painted with pale green and creamy-white margins.

Due to its distinctive stem structure, it is a massive favorite for creating eye-catching low hedges, bordering garden walkways, or adding texture to sunny patios and balconies.

Key Features

  • Architectural Foliage: Striking zig-zag stem formations and vibrant variegated leaves provide great year-round visual texture.
  • Traditional Safeguard: Popularly grown in local households due to the traditional belief that its presence helps deter snakes and pests from gardens.
  • Drought-Resilient Succulent: Extremely tough with thick, moisture-storing stems that make it highly forgiving of missed waterings.

Care Tips

  • Sunlight: Thrives in bright, indirect indoor light to partial outdoor sun. It loves morning sun, but appreciate a bit of shade from scorching summer afternoon rays.
  • Watering: Low watering requirements. Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. Avoid overwatering or stagnant moisture, as succulents are sensitive to root rot.
  • Soil: Requires an exceptionally airy, well-draining potting or cactus soil mix.

What Our Customers Say

  • Grows like crazy

I put this golden pothos on a high shelf in my kitchen and within a month it had trailing vines almost reaching the counter. Barely any care needed, just a weekly watering and it keeps pushing out new leaves.

  • Perfect for beginners

This was my very first houseplant and it is basically impossible to kill. Low light, forgetful watering, none of it seems to bother it, and it still looks glossy and healthy.

I travel a lot for work and this plant does not care. Two, sometimes three weeks without water and it still looks sharp and upright on my office shelf.
